Turmeric Latte

A nourishing turmeric latte recipe which is perfect to enjoy during the winter months.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Meadow Fresh Calci-Original Milk
  • 2 tsp honey 
  • 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp ground turmeric 
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon + extra to serve

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth and frothy. 

Transfer to microwave-safe mugs and microwave for 20-second bursts, stirring in between until hot. Sprinkle with cinnamon to serve. 

Alternative heating methods 

Heat in a small saucepan on the stove (stirring) until hot. 

Tips: 

  • Adjust the quantity of turmeric according to your tastes. Use the larger amount if you like a spicy latte. You could use fresh turmeric instead - you will need about a 1.5cm piece, peeled and grated. 
  • You can use 1/4 tsp ground ginger instead of fresh ginger 
  • Make the latte extra foamy by heating in an electric milk frother, if you have one.
